DR. MATEO VALERO

Doctor Ingeniero de Telecomunicación. Desde 1974 profesor y desde 1983 catedrático de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC). Ha publicado más de 500 artículos en el área de la Arquitectura de los Computadores de Altas Prestaciones. Desde su creación es el director del Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC - CNS) que alberga el supercomputador MareNostrum.

Ha recibido numerosos premios y entre ellos, el Premio Eckert-Mauchly 2007 que es el premio más importante a nivel mundial en el ámbito de la Arquitectura de Computadores otorgado por el IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) y por el ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), dos premios nacionales de investigación que son: el "Julio Rey Pastor" en Informática y Matemáticas y el “Leonardo Torres Quevedo” en Ingeniería. Ha recibido el Premio Rey Jaime I de Investigación de la Generalitat Valenciana. “Hall of Fame” en el marco del ICT European Program, seleccionado como uno de los 25 investigadores europeos más influyentes en IT ,Tecnologias de la Información. Premio “Harry H. Goode” 2009 otorgado por el IEEE.

En el 2001, fue elegido Fellow del IEEE y en el 2002, Fellow distinguido de Intel y Fellow del ACM. Es miembro fundacional de la Real Academia de Ingeniería de España, académico correspondiente de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales, miembro de la Real Academia de Ciencias y Artes de Barcelona y miembro de la Academia Europea. Ha recibido los doctorados Honoris Causa de las Universidades de Chalmers, Belgrado, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y Veracruz en Méjico.

Dr. D. Luís JOYANES AGUILAR

Dr. Ingeniero en Informática y Dr. en Sociología.Catedrático de Lenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos. y Director e Investigador Principal del Grupo de Investigación GISSIC, “Ingeniería de Software y Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento” de la Facultad de Informática de la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca campus Madrid. De 2002 a 2008 fue Decano de la Facultad de Informática de y Director de los Máster y Doctorado do en Ingeniería de Software, así como del Doctorado en Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento. Ha escrito más de 40 libros y 80 artículos sobre Tecnologías de la Información. Sus últimos libros publicados en 2010 son: Empresa 2.0: Visbilidad, Reputación y Posicionamiento en la Web; Redes Sociales: La nueva revolución en la era Facebook y Web 2.0: La Web Social y Colaborativa en la editorial española Joxman y Programación en C, C++, Java y UML en la editorial multinacional McGraw-Hill / México. Sus libros Fundamentos de Programación y Programación en C++, han sido traducidos al portugués (Brasil) e iitaliano.

Es conferenciante habitual en congresos, seminarios, cursos, talleres, … en España y Latinoamérica y Caribe. Ha dirigido 30 tesis doctorales – de ellas varias de profesores latinoamericanos. en áreas tales como Ingeniería de Software, Gestión del Conocimiento, Inteligencia de negocios, Sociedad de la Información, Ingeniería Web, etc. Sus líneas actuales de investigación son: Innovaciones tecnológicas, Sociedad de la Información y el Conocimiento, Web 2.0 y Web Semántica, Gestión del Conocimiento e Inteligencia de Negocios, Analítica Web, Social Media e Inteligencia de Negocios y Cloud Computing. En la actualidad trabaja en sendos libros sobre Computación en Nube y Programación en Java 6. Es Patrono de la Fundación de I+D de Software Libre de España y miembro del instituto Universitario de Biblioteconomía y Documentación de la Universidad Carlos iII de Madrid. DR. JUAN MANUEL CUEVA LOVELLE

Catedrático de Escuela Universitaria de Lenguajes y Sistemas Informáticos de la Universidad de Oviedo (España). Director de la Escuela Universitaria de Ingenieria Técnica en Informática de Oviedo (Universidad de Oviedo)desde Julio-1996 a Julio-2004. Socio de ATI y miembro con voto de ACM e IEEE.

Sus áreas de investigación son Tecnologías Orientadas a Objetos, Procesadores de Lenguaje, Interacción Persona-Ordenador e Ingeniería Web. Ha dirigido varios proyectos de Investigación y tesis doctorales en Ingeniería Informática. Es autor de libros, artículos y comunicaciones a congresos. DRA LORNA UDEN

Lorna Uden is both Professor of Information Technology here and a recent Adjunct Professor at the University of Vaasa, Finland in the Technology Management department. Lorna Uden's professorship will focus on curricula development, the growth of generic and livelong learning skills, income generation, widening participation and the flexible delivery of courses whilst she heads a new Service Science research group and conducts further research into employability and entrepreneurship.

Lorna has been collaborating with colleagues in the Computer and Technology Management departments at the University of Vaasa, Finland for over five years working closely with Professors Marja Naaranoja, Kimmo Salmenjoki , Tauno Kekäle, and Petri Helo in Vaasa and has published many joint papers with each of them. The work involves mobile designing, knowledge management, semantic web, ontology, e-learning and innovation and as a visiting professor there Lorna has been helping with research supervision and working on projects for some time.

Maria Larrondo Petrie is executive director of LACCEI and associate dean and professor of computer engineering at Florida Atlantic University she has helped to organized all the OAS Efta workshops on accreditation and has published 3 papers on their outcome. she developed the LACCEI model of 5 steps this model is called the enginerring education capability maturity model and has been expanded by the LACCEI accreditation task force.

Dr Larrondo Petrie is a member of the international federation of the engineering education sociaties; vice chair of engienerring education innovation of the OAS advisory board for engineering the Americas (EfTA).

DR. RAMIRO JORDAN

Dr. Jordan received his BS in Telecommunications from the National University of La Plata, Argentina, and his Masters and PHD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Kansas State University. Dr. Jordan has a vast array of experience and expertise in both the academic and commercial enterprise arenas. He is a tenured Professor in the Electrical and Engineering Department of the University of New Mexico. From 2002-2003 Ramiro served as the Associate Chair and Director of Undergraduate program of the ECE department, University of New Mexico.
Dr. Ramiro was the originator and primary driving force behind the Ibero American Science and Technology Consortium (ISTEC) created in 1990. ISTEC is a non-profit organization composed of more than one hundred member institutions (industrial, academic, multilateral, and governmental) in the Americas and Iberian Peninsula. The Consortium fosters common goals regarding the promotion of education, technology transfer, and research and development. Our partnership seeks to provide access to the talent available in universities and R&D centers in many countries, to enhance a quality-trained workforce, and to explore new business opportunities. The benefits to the countries that participate in the consortium are enhanced educational levels in science and engineering, investment opportunities, support for existing industries, enriched economic development, access to international scientific communities, access to R&D centers, and self-sufficiency using the latest technology.
From 2000 to 2002 Dr. Jordan was with Global Software Group, Motorola Inc., serving as the University Relations Manager. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and served in multiple roles for a variety of technical undertakings in many national and international programs. He has authored/co-authored multiple scientific and technical publications and recipient of many Awards and Recognitions for his works and contributions to the growth of scientific and technical programs world wide.
During his entire career Dr. Jordan has remained actively involved in the development and expansion of science and technology throughout Latin America through his fostering of close partnerships between industry and academic institutions. Ramiro also serves on the Editorial Board of Computers and Software Engineering magazine.

DR. WIFREDO MORENO

Dr. Wilfrido A. Moreno is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida and director for the Ibero American Science and Technology Educational Consortium at USF, (USF-ISTEC). In the area of research.

Dr. Moreno is a founding member of the Center for Microelectronics Research, (CMR), where he serves as the supervisor for the System Integration and Laser Processing Laboratory. Dr. Moreno’s current research interest is oriented towards system integration by providing “off-the-shelf” hardware/software solutions to industrial application in the areas of Digital Signal Processing, Communications, Industrial Controls, Microelectronics, Biomedical Engineering and Multimedia Solutions including Voice and Video over IP applied to Distance Learning Solutions. Since becoming an assistant professor, in the fall of 1994, Dr. Moreno has been successful in obtaining funding from local industries and federal agencies that have supported over seventy masters students and ten doctoral students.

Over fifty MS level students and five Ph.D. students have obtained their degrees under his supervision. Additionally, three research laboratories have been established with state-of-the-art equipment and software tools in the areas of Digital Signal Processing, Rapid System Prototyping and within the last year a Wireless Sensor Networks laboratory. Dr. Moreno has published over eighty technical papers and has participated in several International conferences and seminars around the World.

DRA. MARÍA MATILDE GARCÍA LORENZO

Comenzó a trabajar en 1985 en la Refinería de Petróleo de Cienfuegos como analista de sistemas recibiendo en dicho período un amplio entrenamiento en MAINFRAMES. A partir de 1988 se traslada a la Universidad Central de Las Villas(UCLV) donde trabaja como profesor. Ha desempeñado el cargo de Jefe de departamento de la carrera Ciencia de la Computación y dirigió el Centro de Estudios de Informática, posteriormente se desempeñó como la decana de la Facultad de Matemática Física y Computación de esta Universidad durante 5 años. Actualmente dirige la disciplina de Inteligencia Artificial de la Carrera Ciencia de la Computación y es la Coordinadora de la Maestría de Ciencia de la Computación, forma parte del Comité Académico del Programa Doctoral en Ciencia de la Computación y es miembro del Tribunal Permanente de Defensas Doctorales en Computación y Automática, Es miembro del tribunal para la defensa de tesis en opción al título de Master en Ciencias de las maestrías en Computación Aplicada y Ciencia de la Computación de la UCLV.

DR. RICARDO LLAMOSA VILLABA

Actualmente es el Director Científico del Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo para la Investigación en Ingeniería del Software CIDLIS de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Profesor por más de 30 años en la Universidad Industrial de Santander. Par académico en educación superior. Par de Eventos y Conferencias Internacionales y Par Soporte a la Industria Nacional.

Autor de 13 libros relacionados con la certificación, acreditación y la ingeniería de software, así como numerosos artículos en revistas y en eventos nacionales e internacionales.
